YUKSEKOVA - Three soldiers of the Turkish armed forces were wounded late Monday after setting off a land mine in the south eastern province of Hakkari. The three, listed as a senior non-commissioned officer and two sergeants were wounded when one of the men stood on the mine, believed to have been planted by the terrorist group the PKK. The incident occurred in the Yuksekova district of Hakkari, close to Turkey’s borders with both Iran and Iraq. All three wounded men were evacuated to a hospital in Hakkari for emergency treatment.
