DIYARBAKIR - There were clashes between protestors and police in the south eastern Turkish city of Diyarbakir Tuesday after a funeral for four members of the terrorist group the PKK killed in fighting with security forces on the weekend.
The police fired tear gas to disperse crowds after coming under attack from a barrage of rocks and molotov cocktails after the funeral, at which slogans in support of the outlawed PKK were chanted. At least five people were injured in the clashes, There were also protests in the southern Turkish city of Adana, where an estimated 3000 people attended the funeral of another PKK member, one of 14 killed on the weekend.
