Four people died in an earlier outbreak of avian flu in Turkey, three being from the same family.

TOKAT - A 16 year old girl has been admitted to a hospital in the central Turkish province of Tokat after displaying avian flu-like symptoms Tuesday.
The girl was taken to the Dr. Cevdet Aykan State Hospital in the town of Yesilyurt on Tuesday after exhibiting symptoms of avian flu symptoms. According to local health officials, the girl had recently eaten meat from a chicken slaughtered by her father.
Turkeys Bird Flu Co-ordination Centre has declared that there has been an outbreak of avian flu in the province of Tokat. A mass cull of poultry in the region near the outbreak is being carried out, the Centre said.
