DIYARBAKIR - A F-16 fighter of the Turkish Air Force crashed in the south eastern province of Diyarbakir soon after take off, military authorities reported Monday.
The pilot of the plane, who was on a training flight, parachuted to safety. The plane, attached to the Second Tactical Air Force, crashed some four and a half kilometres from the runway, coming to rest near the village of Gonendi in Diyarbakirs Carikli Municipality.
