Husrev Kutlu, an AKP deputy for the south eastern province of Adiyaman, said that the government’s statements were far from the truth.
“I do not see a pink picture,” said Kutlu. “There are no more holes left in the belts of the citizens to tighten further.”
Kutlu stressed that more businesses are closing down and that the agriculture sector was also in a very bad position. Kutlu added that when he asked people how much they could cope longer that they said at the most another three months.
Last week, AKP deputy Abdullah Caliskan warned businessmen not to go into foreign currency indexed debts, which raised reaction within the party.
