| | | | Giving a speech on symposium on the developments after the terrorist attacks against Washington and New York on September 11, and how they related to Turkey, General Yaşar Büyükanıt, said it was interesting that Europe had included PKK on its list of terrorist organisations list after these events.
Though some European countries have banned the activities of the terrorist organisations the PKK and KADEK, they continue to give them some support at various levels. It is not enough to include organisations on the list, it is necessary to really fight terrorism, said General Büyükanıt, the Deputy Chief of the Turkish General Staff.
Claiming that Europe was still giving protection to terrorism he went on to say, Those people or countries that take the plague microbe named terrorism into their hands, sooner or later would meet their destiny rising from this plague microbe.
Europe should give support to Turkey in the international arena, the General said, adding that Turkey should be at the forefront to serve as an example.
